Susan Pierson-Brown is founder and principal of Seven November – a strategic communications consultancy for change makers. Susan has spent most of her career as a trusted advisor to leaders in business and philanthropy.
Prior to founding Seven November, Susan was the senior communications advisor to billionaire philanthropist Paul G. Allen, including serving as head of communications for Vulcan, Inc. and the Paul G. Allen Family Foundations. She directed communications integration among the investment companies in the over $30 billion Vulcan portfolio, was accountable for all of Mr. Allen’s global communications and served as his sole spokesperson to the media. Additionally, Susan has 20+ years award-winning public relations experience on both the client and agency sides, designing significant change initiatives for leading national brands and foundations. Her clients include the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Skoll Foundation, Casey Family Programs, the Lemelson Foundation, the University of Washington, many high-net worth philanthropists, academics and socially responsible corporations. She holds a degree in Journalism from the University of Oregon, is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for foster children through the King County Dependancy Court and is ever hopeful she’ll finish her first book, “The Strategy of Influence”. Beth Silverberg, Associate

Beth Herrell Silverberg brings years of experience in both public relations and product and idea marketing.  Beth’s areas of expertise include media relations, project management, messaging development and marketing events.  Beth spent most of her career working in the software industry at Waggener Edstrom and Microsoft Corp. where she developed and executed launch and ongoing PR and marketing plans for Microsoft Office and Microsoft Exchange. She also worked closely with Microsoft’s European subsidiaries to communicate consistent and clear messaging and cohesive strategies throughout the region.   After leaving Microsoft, Beth set out on her own as a consultant to Microsoft, The Garrigan Lyman Group and other agencies and software companies. Currently, Beth collaborates with Seven November Inc. as well as handling media relations for El Gaucho Hospitality. Beth graduated from Gonzaga University with a degree in Public Relations. She volunteers for local non-profits to combat homelessness and for her children’s school acting as a volleyball coach and middle school writing coach at St. Joseph School.
