About Seven November

Through our work with some of the nation’s most prominent individuals, smallest non-profits and Fortune 100 corporations we have honed our expertise in using strategic communications to create positive change.  All Seven November clients are directly served by the principal. Additionally, client teams may be built out to include professionals with expertise in national policy, qualitative and quantitative research, stakeholder engagement, media relations and more.

Susan Pierson Brown, Principal

Seven November principal Susan Pierson Brown has spent most of her career as a senior communications consultant to leaders in business and philanthropy, and has a particular expertise in working with closely with the national business media.  Prior to founding Seven November, Inc., Susan was senior communications advisor to Microsoft co-founder and billionaire Paul G. Allen for over seven years, including serving as head of communications for the Paul G. Allen Family Foundations. Susan has counseled senior leadership at organizations such as Nike, the Blue Cross/Blue Shield Association, Microsoft Corporation, Time Warner, Charter Communications, Casey Family Programs, the University of Washington, the Seattle Symphony, the Seattle Seahawks and Experience Music Project. She has served in leadership roles in national communications agencies including Waggener Edstrom Worldwide and Shepardson, Stern +Kaminsky, and has led internal corporate communications teams at emerging technology companies. Susan serves on the board of trustees of the Children’s Museum of Seattle, the advisory board of Treehouse for Kids and as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children through the King County Dependency Court. Cynthia Scheiderer, Senior Associate

Cynthia Scheiderer is a strategist, researcher, educator, and facilitator who has worked with foundations, technology companies, and nonprofits. Cynthia helps organizations understand, influence, and engage the public by asking great questions and skillfully including multiple perspectives and interests. She is a former director of public affairs and communications at Casey Family Programs, a national operating foundation located in Seattle, Washington, where she built a community outreach function, led the start-up of a national consumer advocacy group, and managed grants focused on constituency organizing. Prior to this, Cynthia spent seven years in the high-tech industry, including five years at Adobe Systems, during which she managed teams and initiatives in customer support, knowledge management, education, training, business development, and consulting. Cynthia earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from California State University, Fullerton, and her master’s degree in education from Seattle University. Beth Silverberg, Associate

Beth Herrell Silverberg brings years of experience in both public relations and product and idea marketing.  Beth’s areas of expertise include media relations, project management, messaging development and marketing events.  Beth spent most of her career working in the software industry at Waggener Edstrom and Microsoft Corp. where she developed and executed launch and ongoing PR and marketing plans for Microsoft Office and Microsoft Exchange. She also worked closely with Microsoft’s European subsidiaries to communicate consistent and clear messaging and cohesive strategies throughout the region.   After leaving Microsoft, Beth set out on her own as a consultant to Microsoft, The Garrigan Lyman Group and other agencies and software companies. Beth graduated from Gonzaga University with a degree in Public Relations. She volunteers for local non-profits to combat homelessness and for her children’s school acting as a coach and art docent for the St. Joseph School In Touch with Art program.
